The Lok Sabha today passed the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation(Amendment) Bill, 2014 without discussion by voice vote amid vehement protests by members belongong to affected states cutting across party lines. The Bill has been moved for consideration and passing by Home Minister Rajnath Singh. The members belonging to Telangana staged vociferous protests in the Well as the process of passing the Bill was going on. They said the Bill was unconstitutional as it had been brought in without the recommendations of the President and without ascertaining the views of the states affected by the Polavaram project.
