Monsoon covers entire India

The south-west Monsoon covered the entire country today by advancing into the remaining parts of north Arabian Sea,Saurashtra, Kutch, Gujarat Region and west Rajasthan.
The southwest Monsoon has been active over Uttarakhand, Konkan,Goa and Madhya Maharashtra. While, it has been subdued over  Rayalaseema.
Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal,Sikkim, Utar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa and coastal Karnataka.
They may occur at many places in Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Jharkhand, Bihar, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, east Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh,Gujarat Region, Kerala and Andaman and Nicobar  Islands.
They could also occur at a few places in Odisha, west Rajasthan, Vidarbha,Chhattisgarh, Madhya Maharashtra, coastal Andhra Pradesh, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep, and at isolated places in Marathwada,Telangana, Rayalaseema and Tamil Nadu.

They had also occurred at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Marathwada, Telangana, Rayalaseema, Tamil nadu and Lakshadweep.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Coastal Karnataka, at many places over Kerala and at a few places over   Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Telangana and Tamil Nadu. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Lakshadweep and Rayalaseema   The chief amounts of rainfall recorded in centimetres are: TAMIL NADU: Chinnakalar 5, Naduvattam 4, Devala , Valparai pto 3 each, G Bazar , Valparai taluk office 2 each. KERALA :  Pookot 9, Vadakara 6, Irikkur , Mananthavady & Vythiri & Nilambur 5 each, Palakkad, Mannarkad & Quilandy  4 each, Kannur, Mattanur ($ARG),  Kozhikode, Karipur Airport & Perinthalmanna , Hosdurg & Kuppady 3 each, Taliparamba , Angadippuram & Manjeri , Alathur, Ottappalam & Pattambi & Idukki & Munnar 2 each and CIAL Kochi & Perumbavur , Thalasserry , Ambalavayal , Ponnani , Chittur,Kollengode and Thrithala ,Thrissur, Chalakudy,Kodungallur and   Vadakkancherry  1 each. WEATHER FORECAST FOR NEXT THREE DAYS: DAY 1 (17th   July):   Rain or thundershowers would occur at many places over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala and at a few places over Interior Karnataka and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh.  Isolated rain or thundershowers may occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Lakshadweep, South Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Rayalaseema. Isolated rain or thundershowers may occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Telangana and Rayalaseema. DAY 3 (19th July): Rain or thundershowers would occur at most places over Coastal Karnataka, at  many places over Kerala, South Interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep  and at a few places over North Interior Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana .Isolated rain or thundershowers may occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry  and Rayalaseema. HEAVY RAINFALL WARNING: DAY 1 (17th July): Isolated heavy rain may occur over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka. DAY 2 (18th July): Isolated heavy rain may occur over Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka. DAY 3 (19th July Isolated heavy rain may occur over Kerala, Coastal Karnataka and ghat areas of South Interior Karnataka.
