In an effort to tackle passengers’ rush, Western Railways has decided to run a weekly special train between Yashwantpur and Bikaner via Ahmedabad.
A spokesperson for Western Railways today said looking to the increasing numbers of passengers and keeping their facilities in mind, railways has decided to run a weekly special train form July 20 up to August 26 (6 trips) between Yashwantpur in Karnataka and Rajasthan’s Bikaner via Ahmedabad.
He said from July 20 to August 24, train no 06587 Yashwantpur-Bikaner will depart every Sunday at 0500 hrs from Yashwantpur and reach every Tuesday at 0710 hrs at Bikaner by passing through Surat, Ankleshwar, Vadodara, Anand, Nadiad, Ahmedabad, Mehsana and Palanpur in Gujarat.
While returning from July 22 to August 26 (6 trips), train no 06588 Bikaner-Yashwantpur weekly special will depart every Tuesday at 2200 hrs from Bikaner and reach every Friday early morning at 0315 hrs at Yashwantpur.
The train will have 18 coaches including two IInd AC, two IIIrd AC, eight sleeper and six general coaches.
