The seventh Annual Convention of the Event and Entertainment Management Association (EEMA) will be held here from July 18 to 20 with a view to bringing together new age entrepreneurs from the brand activation and experiential industry. Over 300 key members from across the country would take part in the event, bringing together the biggest names onto one unified platform, EEMA President Brian Tellis told media last night.
Prominent speakers across the country would take part in the three-day event related to their fields and throw light on relevant issues impacting the industry, he said adding that one of the main highlights of the convention would be an enlightening session by National Creative Director, Ogilvy Action Raj Kumar Jha, who will dissect ‘Abki Baar Modi Sarkaar’ a campaign which went on the re-write the democratic narrative of the country in recent times.
Claiming that the industry had good potential in the coming years, as it as an inevitable industry for conducting various events, including marriage and product launching and others, Mr Tellis said the total turnover of the sector was over Rs 20,000 crore and was expecting 20 per cent growth in the next year.
Since the unorganized sector consuming the 70 per cent of service, he said gradually it is influencing in the unorganized sectors. Because of the mushrooming of the industry and complaints from various quarters, he said adding the organization was also chalking out a grading system to monitor the industry and a committee had already constituted in this regard and expected to submit their report in six months.
