President Pranab Mukherjee today offered prayers at the famed Sree Padmanabha Swamy Temple here before winding up his two-day tour to Kerala.
He spent nearly 90 minutes in the temple which is located in the heart of the city.
According to sources, special poojas were performed at the temple which is one of the richest in the country with its treasure valued more than Rs one lakh crore.
The President, who arrived in Kerala yesterday, attended the first convocation at the Central University in Kasaragod and then proceeded to Thiruvananthapuramto inaugurate the platinum jubilee celebrations of the College of Engineering.
After winding up the Kerala tour, he left for Tiruchirapalli in Tamil Nadu.
