Govt to find solution to reschedule dates of IFFI in Goa: Naik

Minister for Information and Publicity Milind Naik informed the house that the government will some solution to reschedule dates of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) 2014 in Goa, considering that the present dates collide with the Exposition of St. Francis Xavier: Goencho Saib, to be held from November 22, 2014.    Naik made the statment while replying to private members’ resolution moved by Vishnu Surya Wagh urging the government to reschedule the dates of IFFI festival, ‘since the Exposition is held only once in a decade and IFFI is an annual affair, IFFI-2014 could either be preponed or postponed at a suitable date.’ Information Minister Naik agreed with MLA Wagh that IFFI and Exposition of St Francis Xavier will collided as two event are held in the month of November and said he had couple of meetings with Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar regarding the same. ‘The government will find some solution to it and even suggestions from members are welcomed,’ he added.
