The Salman Khanstarrer ‘Kick’ continues to enthral cine goers in the country with the film crossing the Rs 200 cr mark in terms of earnings from theatrical earnings across India, making it Salman’s highest grosser in India, experts in film trade said today. Salman Khan marches into the Rs 200 cr Club. ‘Kick’ today crossed the Rs 200 cr mark, thus becoming Salman’s highest grosser in India, Trade Expert Taran Adarsh said. According to Adarsh, the movie has also performed excellently in the overseas markets, earning Rs 53.66 cr till date. The film has thus earned over Rs 250 crore worldwide. It has been a phenomenal performance by a Bollywood film this year, he said. Directed by Sajid Nadiadwala, ‘Kick’, starring Salman, Jacqueline Fernandez and Randeep Hooda in key roles, has already become the highest grosser of 2014 so far. It has also become Salman’s highest grosser in India. The movie is also the second Salman Khanstarrer, after ‘Jai Ho’, to cross the Rs 100 cr mark in terms of earnings. The film is also doing good business in the overseas markets. Adarsh said the film has earned Rs 9.52 cr in US, Rs 2.94 cr in Canada, Rs 10.80 cr in UK and Rs 2.63 cr in Australia. In the UAE and Gulf, it has earned Rs 19.53 cr while in neighbouring Pakistan, it has earned Rs 7.40 cr with many screens yet to report. Infact, experts said that the increasing popularity of the film in Pakistan has led to the number of theatres screening the film to expand from 56 to 62 in its second week.
