Noted writer and Mathrubhumi scribe K V Anoop passed away of kidney related ailment in a private hospital here today. He was 42. He is survived by wife Sweety and daughter Ithal. Anoop, who underwent kidney transplant ten years ago, was undergoing treatment in a hospital.
A well known writer, Anoop bagged Uroob Award for his novel Ammadeivankalude Bhoomi in 1992. He also won Muttathu Varkey Foundation Award (1994), E P Sushama Endowment (2006), Mundoor Krishnankutty award (2011) for literary works. Last rites will be held at his native Mooriyad near Kuthuparamba in neighbouring Kannur district on Tuesday.
