The Jamaat-e-Islami Kerala has launched a fund raising campaign in the State to help victims of the worst ever floods that claimed hundreds of lives in Jammu and Kashmir.
JeI Kerala Amir T Arifali, in a release today, sought full cooperation from people for the campaign being held in mosques and towns in the city.
The outfit also decided to observe September 19 as a fund collection day in the state, it added.
The Kerala Sanskrit Teachers Federation (KSTF) also decided to collect maximum fund for the Kashmir flood victims, its General Secretary T K Santosh Kumar told reporters.
Talking to reporters in Kozhikode, he said KSTF State Committee had decided to a campaign to collect maximum fund for the purpose from September 20 to 27.
The KSTF has called upon teachers throughout the state to extend cooperation on the issue, he added.
