VKL Group, a diversified business enterprise in Bahrain is embarking into Kerala real estate sector with a slew of housing and resort projects across the state and has announced an investment of Rs 2000 crores in various projects.
The group’s newly floated company – VKL Builders India Private Limited – will spearhead its Kerala operations, VKL Group Chairman and Managing Director Varghese Kurian said today.
The company aims to make its presence felt in the state with multiple housing and resort projects and a number of charitable endeavors.
The VKL group has formidable presence in the Gulf countries, especially Bahrain with footprints in hospitality, education, healthcare, contracting and dredging. ‘The soon to be launched new projects include housing projects, educational institutions, specialty hospitals, hotels, shopping malls, Ayurveda resorts across the state which we shall ensure completion in a time bound manner,’ he added.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will launch their two new projects in Trivandrum, ‘VKL Gardens,’ premium apartments at Sreekaryam and VKL Towers’ on NH by-pass Kazhakoottam opposite Technopark. At the launch function VKL Group will present a cheque to Oommen Chandy of Rs 2 crores as the group’s contribution to the Chief Ministers Home for the homeless scheme which will be implemented by the Kerala State Housing Board.
VKL Builders projects in pipeline are VKL Township in Trivandrum with six apartment towers, apartment complexes near Santhigiri Ashramam in Pothencode Trivandrum, Poothotta in Vaikkom and Panangad in Kochi.
They are also planning an international stature Global Ayurvedic Village in Alappuzha.
The VKL Group is also closely associated with INKEL Limited as project partner and has a JV arrangement with Santhigiri Ashram for the educational infrastructure development at the Ashram.
