Kannur District Medical Officer, Dr K J Reena today conducted a probe, following a direction of Directorate of Health Services (DHS), into alleged incident of mobile phone recording of a Caesarean section in a labour room of the Taluk hospital at Payyanur in Kannur district.
DMO said that the doctors, who attended to the delivery were on leave and they collect only the testimony from the Superintent of the hospital and RMO in charge. It was found that alleged incident occured in the hospital.
However, Ms Reena recorded the testimony of other staffs, including the nurses who attended the delivery of the woman from Thrikaripur on July 18. The woman delivered triplets. Ms Reema said the preliminary report was submitted today before the Health department.
She also said the Cyber Cell had been approached to provide vital information regarding the alleged sharing of the video clippings. Police have registered a case against 11 persons, including two doctors.
