CBI conduts raid at Medical council office

Following allegation of corruption in granting recognition to a medical college in Thiruvananthapuram,  the CBI today conducted a search at the office of the Medical Council of India (MCI).
Sources said the CBI raided the office of MCI and the residences of its Additional Secretary Prasanna Raj, Deputy Secretary Anshu Sethi Bajaj, ex-consultant Madhu Handa.
The CBI also raided a private medical college and the residence of its Principal. It was alleged that the college tried to get recognition for Post Graduate seats through unauthorized way.
