In an endeavour to provide seamless access to its guests, leading private international airline Jet Airways will enhance its connectivity to the Gulf, with the introduction of a new direct flight from Kochi to the UAE’s financial hub, Dubai from November five.
This would be Jet Airways’ first direct daily flight from Kochi to Dubai and the s new service from Kochi to Dubai would complement the currently operated daily direct flights from Kochi to Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Doha, Kuwait (via Abu Dhabi), Muscat and Sharjah, a release said here today.
Jet Airways will also launch a second frequency between Mumbai and Doha from November five as well as a new daily direct flight from Kohzikode and Thiruvananthapuram to Doha from December one, it said.
The addition of these new flights across the Gulf would further strengthen the airlines growing international network and significantly enhance flight connectivity in the region.
Kozhikode would be the second destination in Kerala after Kochi to have a daily service to Doha, it said adding the airlines currently operating a daily flight to Doha from Delhi, Kochi and Mumbai.
Besides, from its four flights from Mumbai and two from Delhi, Jet Airways would also start an additional daily service between Mumbai and Dubai from October, which would elevate the airliner as the largest operator between India and Gulf, it claimed.
The airline would deploy its next – generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft, offering twin class configuration of Premiere and Economy class. Currently, Jet Airways operates flights daily to Abu Dhabi, Dammam, Doha, Muscat and Sharjah from Kochi while Kuwait was connected via Abu Dhabi. Jet Airways currently operates a daily flight each from Delhi, Kochi, Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad and a twice daily from Mumbai to Abu Dhabi. Commenting on strengthening its presence in the Gulf sector, Jet Aiways Commercial Vice-President Gaurang Shetty said ‘Jet Airways has already established itself as a prestigious brand in the intensely competitive India-Gulf sector in a relatively short period of time and this enhanced connectivity further emphasizes the airlines commitment to growing this market.

With these new enhanced flights, Jet Airways would achieve the landmark milestone of becoming India’s first private airline to operate over 40 daily flights to multiple destinations in the Gulf, which include daily departures to Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Dubai, Doha, Kuwait, Sharjah, Muscat, Jeddah, Dammam and Riyadh, thus, making the airline thelargest operator between India and the Gulf.
The airline wouldl deploy a Boeing 737-800 aircraft on these new services, offering Premiere and Economy guests an in-flight product that is among the best in its class, warm service, award-winning in-flight entertainment, as well as delectable cuisine and convenient schedules.
