Ace cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, who is the Goodwill Ambassador of the National Games, has said that the Games, to be held in Kerala in 2015, would further brighten the future of sports in the state.
Mr Tendulkar, expressed this while having discussions with Kerala Sports Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, when the latter met and held discussions with him in this regard.
He also congratulated the Minister for his efforts in ensuuring the participation of over one crore people in a massrun, to be held 100 days prior to the National Games.
Appraising the cricketer that the effort was to make the games as the most popular event, Mr Radhakrishnan said that the mass run would be organised concentrating anlyn the Panchyats, Municipalities and Corporations in the state.
The Minister also sought the encouragement and support to other sports events like football and cricket and also full support and cooperation to the game as well.
Stating that he had already unveiled ISL logo for his team, the master blaster expressed the hope that all Keralites should be with Kerala Blasters onwed by him.
He also assured all support and encouragement to the comprehensive development of sports sector in South India, a release said here today.
