NCC cadet’s body brought to Kerala

Kannur | The body of the 19-year-old NCC cadet M Anas, who died yesterday, was brought to the Medical College Hospital at Kozhikode to conduct post-mortem today. The body later taken to his home town Kurilad.
The NCC cadet, who suffered bullet injury in an accident during a firing practice at a NCC camp here in September, was died on Thursday at a military hospital in Bangalore where he was undergoing treatment.
A bullet fired by another cadet hit the ground, rebounded and hit Anas, an undergraduate student of a local college in Kannur district during a training camp on September 10.
As a humanitarian move, the Kerala government had decided to bear all the treatment expenses after Chief Minister Oommen Chandy visited Anas at the military hospital last month.
