Bhopal | For MP MLAs, Nobel winner is Kailash Vijayvargiya
On the day when Bachpan Bachao Andolan leader Kailash Satyarthi received the Nobel Peace Prize in Norway’s Oslo, many politicians, including a few ministers in Madhya Pradesh, congratulated state urban administration and development minister Kailash Vijayvargiya for ‘his achievement’.
Minister for animal husbandry, food processing and public health engineering Kusum Mehadele, tribal welfare minister Gyan Singh and a few MLAs lauded ‘Kailash Vijayvargiya’s achievements’ saying it is a matter of pride for the state and their fraternity.
On his part Vijayvargiya, however, played down the incident saying it might have happened because Satyarthi maintained a low profile and people hardly knew him in Madhya Pradesh.
Vijayvargiya said he was more popular than Satyarthi in political circles and hence it led to the misunderstanding.
