Kannur | Haryana wrestlers bagged four more golds today, taking their tally to 13 out of 18 categories in the ongoing 35th National Games in Kerala today. On the third day, Haryana also claimed one silver and a bronze.
Punjab opened its account in wrestling by winning a gold in 97 kg FS category by Gurpal Singh. Haryana’s Satyavart Kadyan secured a bronze in this category. However, Kadyan suffered injury on his nose and omit blood, in between the bout against Navneet Sharma of Chandigarh, but beat him by a score of 8-0, after taking medical first aid.
Services also collected their second gold in wrestling today, their Naveen won gold in 130 kg Greeco roman style and Haryana’s Sonu bagged silver in this category.
Services received a gold and their table in wrestling rose to 2 golds, one silver and one bronze in 18 events. Jharkhand and Delhi also received one gold each in wrestling, on last day.
