Thiruvananthapuram | The Kerala Cabinet today decided to ask the Public Service Commission (PSC) to extend all rank lists that will expire on June 1 this year.
Briefing on Cabinet decisions, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said all the rank lists that will expire on June 1 will be extended one more year or till the expiry period of four-and-a-half years, whichever is earlier. On other decisions, he said Six employees of Goshree Island Development Authority (GIDA) working in various posts for more than 10 years on contract basis will be regularized.
This will be done so with effect from the date of completion of 10 years service. The financial liability for the same will be met from the fund of GIDA. The Government has decided to provide Rs 5 crores this financial year itself for the preliminary work expenses of the Nilambur-Sulthan Bathery-Nanjancode railway line.
This is a top priority railway line project in Kerala, which has already been given the go ahead by the Union Rail Ministry. The funding for the project will be equally shared by the State and the Union Governments.
Rs 5.97 crore has been sanctioned by the Government for providing IT-enabled infrastructure at the State Disaster Response Centre. The amount will come from the 13th Finance Commission’s fund for capacity building for disaster response.
