Thiruvananthapuram | Gunning down two more yellow metals from the shooting range, defending champions Services Sports Control Board (SSCB) continued their winning spree in the 35th Edition of the ongoing National Games, lead the table with 67 medals, including 42 gold, after completion of 190 events till evening to retain the title.
The military men proved their unquestioned authority in shooting, as their team members gunned down two more gold today to take to total earning of 25 medals, including 15 gold and four silver was heading for a heat-trick of over all championship.
Maharashtra and Haryana continued the neck and neck fight and the former had a slight advantage in overall medall tally, as they earned 86 medals, including 25 gold and 34 silver, while Haryana riding on the power of wrestlers stood behind them with 51 medal, including 26 gold.
The most successful contender of the day was services, as they picked up six, including our medals, followed by Haryana with seven, including one gold and five silver.
Hosts Kerala maintained their fourth position with 51 medals, including 16 gold, as they succeeded in winning two gold, one in cycling, the favourite event in the games. As like in the beginning there was no scarcity for new meet record in the pool, as all the four and events settled with setting new marks on the final day of aquatic events.
