Chennai | The Southern Railway today announced cancellation and diversion of several trains in view of the derailment of the Bangalore City – Ernakulam Junction Inter-city Express between Anekal Road and Hosur Stations of the Bangalore Division.
A Railway release here said the Bangalore City-Nagercoil Junction Express Train, leaving Bangalore today, has been cancelled. The Coimbatore Junction-Lokmanya Tilak Terminus Express would be diverted via Tirupattur, Jolarpettai ‘A’ Cabin instead of Salem, Hosur.
The Ernakulam Junction-Bangalore City Express today was diverted via Jolarpettai ‘A’Cabin. The Mysore Junction-Mayiladuturai Express, leaving Bangalore today, would be diverted via Jolarpettai ‘A’Cabin, Tirupattur instead of Hosur, Dharmapuri.
The Kochuveli-Yesvantpur Tri-weekly Garibrath Express leaving Kochuveli today will be diverted via Tirupattur, Jolarpettai ‘A’Cabin, instead of Hosur, Dharmapuri and arrive at Yesvantpur tomorrow.
The Southern Railway also announced that the the Nagercoil-Bangalore Express arriving Bangalore today was partially cancelled between Hosur and Bangalore. The same train left Hosur at 1420 hrs to Ernakulam with stranded passengers of the derailed train as a passenger special.
