Kochi | Kerala police today questioned a Nigerian national, who was arrested in Goa for allegedly supplying cocaine to a ‘smoke party’ involving a film actor and four women. The anti-narcotics cell of the Goa police, working in tandem with the Kerala police, had arrested Okowe Chigozie Collins from North Goa. He was later handed over to the Kerala police probing the case.
Collins was brought to Kochi today after obtaining a transit remand from Judicial Magistrate First Class (JMFC) court, Pernem, Goa where he was produced. Actor Shine Tom and four women were arrested last month from a flat owned by controversial businessman Mohammad Nisham, who was arrested from Thrissur earlier on charges of killing a security guard deliberately hitting him with his car. Police had recovered 7 gm of cocaine in the flat from where they were arrested.
Police said they got information about Collins after examining call records of one of the women arrested in the case. The Kerala police is said to have secured CCTV footage in which Collins is seen allegedly handing over cocaine to the woman at Kochi railway station. Police had brought him to the railway station to collect evidence.
