ISI Activist, 4 others killed in encounter in Telangana

Hyderabad | Close on the heels of the gunning down of two SIMI activists in an encounter at Janakipuram Village in Nalgonda District of Telangana on Saturday last, a dreaded ISI activist and four of his accomplices were killed near Aler in Warangala District in an encounter with police, today.
The five, including ISI activist Viccaruddin, were shot dead by the police when they tried to attack the escorting police party in a bid to escape while being brought from Warangal Central Prison to a court in Hyderabad. An active member of the banned SIMI, previously, Viccaruddin, a resident of Malakpet, was involved in the sensational firing on a police party at Santoshnagar Area of the city in 2009 and other terrorist activities.
In events that took place in quick succession in the state, the slain SIMI activists shot dead two policemen at Suryapet Bus Station early last week and another constable at Janakipuram on Saturday last.
Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattareya,meanwhile,met Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi and briefed
the latter about the situation in the state in the light of the recent incidents.

In events that took place in quick succession in the state in the last one week, two SIMI activists were  shot dead  in an encounter with police in Nalgonda district early last week.
The slain SIMI activists gunned down two policemen at Suryapet Bus Station  and another constable at Janakipuram on Saturday last.
Union Labour Minister Bandaru Dattareya, meanwhile ,met Home Minister Rajnath Singh in Delhi and briefed the latter about the situation in the state in the light of the recent incidents.
Meanwhile, Viccaruddin’s father Mohd Ahmed charged that the encounter was a fake one and that he would take to legal recourse.
Police said Viccaruddin and his gang members tried to snatch the weapons of the accompanying cops when the vehicles were stopped and to foil the gang’s attempt, police opened fire. A reserve sub inspector was injured in the incident.
They had been brought to the seventh metropolitan magistrate’s court in the city.
