Srinagar | Opposing any separate colony for migrant Kashmiri pandits within the valley, separatist organisations have called for a protest after Friday prayers and total shutdown on Saturday.
We will not allow any separate township for migrant pandits in the valley, Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) said today while hardliner Hurriyat Conference (HC) alleged that it was a RSS agenda being implemented through Chief minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed who had succumbed to BJP for power.
Addressing reporters here, JKLF chairman Mohammad Yaseen Malik said, We would not allow any separate township for Kashmiri pandits as announced by Government of India (GoI).
He alleged that RSS and PDP are trying to turn Kashmir into another Palestine. Malik said people of the Kashmir will launch an agitation against this proposal as it is not acceptable to them (Kashmiris).
He said JKLF will lead a protest march at historic Lal Chowk on Friday after prayers against the move which will be followed by a complete strike on Saturday.
Hardliner HC alleged that PDP has surrendered before RSS and called for complete shutdown on Saturday against any move to establish a separate townships for migrant pandits in the valley.
The separatist organisation also called for protest rallies after Friday prayers.
Separate Township will be like a state within state and we will never ever allow it, he said.
However, the separatist organisations said Kashmir pandits will be welcomed back to valley and can live with their muslim brothers as they used to live in before their migration.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh during a meeting with Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed at New Delhi yesterday had asked for identification of land in the valley for separate homeland for Kashmir pandits, living in different parts of the country.
