Kannur | Communist Party of India (CPI) State secretary Kanam Rajendran today said Congress Working Committee member A K Antony should seek the resignation of state Finance Minister K M Mani and Excise Minister K Baby if he is sincere in his remarks against corruption.
Talking to newspersons here, Mr Rajendran said Mr Antony’s reported statement that there was corruption in all level of administration in Kerala had vindicated the stand of the Opposition parties.
Mr Rajendran pointed out that Home minister Ramesh Chennithala, Mr V D Satheeshan, MLA and even Chief Minister Oommen Chandy supported the words of Mr Antony in their speeches at various places.
He also said Mr Antony also commented that 30 per cent homes had become bars in the State after the change of liquor policy. The LDF had already stated that a ban on liquor was not suitable and prohibition should be brought through awareness.
He also stated that the LDF never try to sabotage the UDF government through undemocratic way.
