Maoist couple in Kerala police custody for 10 days

Coimbatore | Maoist couple Roopesh and Shyna, lodged in the Central Jail here after their arrest earlier this month, were today taken to Ernakulam in Kerala to be produced before a court.
Police officials led by Anil Kumar, SP, Internal Security (Investigation) of Kerala police, arrived in the jail and took away the couple with prisoner transit warrant, police said.
Both were produced before a court in Ernakulam. Kerala police had been allowed to keep them in 10 days custody.
Roopesh, wanted in at least 20 cases in Kerala, along with Shina, Anup, Veeramani and Kannan were arrested on May 4 at Karumathampatti near here by a joint team of Andhra, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu police.
