Kozhikode, May 29 (UNI) ‘T P 51,’ narrating brutal murder of Revolutionary Marxist Party (RMP) founder leader T P Chandrasekharan at Vallikkad in the district and related development in Kerala politics, will hit threatres on June 12.
Talking to reporters here, Director Moidu Thazhath and Executive Producer Gafoor Sand Banks said the film, unraveling the conspiracy angle of May 4, 2012 murder, was completed overcoming many allurements and threats as well.
The shoot of the film was held at Onchiyam, Eramala, Orkkattery, Vatakara, they said adding scenes of Mudakkozhi in Kannur district from where main accused Kodi Suni, Kirmani Manoj and Mohammed Shafi were arrested was filmed in Thodupuzha.
RMP, the political outfit formed by the rebel leader, its leaders K K Rema (his wife), N Venu, his son Nandu, Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan, DYSP Shoukathali, who the Special Investigation Team that probed the murder, retained the original names in the film.
Ramesh Vatakara, who resembled Chandrasekharan, played the lead, Devi Ajit as K K Rema, and Riyakhan as Shoukathali, they said.
Bheeman Raghu, Kollam Sha, Ghalvin Mysore, Prakash Payyanakkal, Venu Machhad, Geetha Salam, Shivaji Guruvayur, Deepa Shournur, Youth Congress leader Rijil Makkutti and Gafoor Sand Banks were the other players, they added.
The assassins had inflicted 51 wounds on 51-year Chandrasekharan, prompting the makers to name the film as ‘T P 51.’
