Muvattupuzha | A rabid dog has bitten 30 people in Idukki district of Kerala last evening. The 30 injured include a pregnant woman, school children and elderly people, sourced said.
Though many of them have been rushed to nearest Government and private hospitals here, they could not be given proper treatment due to the shortage of anti-rabies vaccine. They were given fist aid treatment only.
However, those admitted to the Kottayam Medical College were vaccinated. The authorities are yet to ascertain the identity of the injured people who did not receive proper vaccination, it added.
