All UDF MLAs asked to reach Aruvikkara for election campaign

Thiruvananthapuram | All MLAs of Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) have been asked to be in Aruvikkara Assembly constituency to work for the success of the ruling coalition’s candidate in the seat.
Congress party sources said Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President V M Sudheeran and Home Minister Ramesh Chennithala have reviewed the election preparedness of the UDF for the June 27 bypoll.
All the UDF MLAs have been requested to reach the constituency immediately to work for the victory of UDF candidate K S Sabarinathan, the son of former assembly speaker and Congress leader G Karthikeyan.
Meanwhile, CPI(M) stalwart and Opposition leader V S Achuthanandan has decided to reach Aruvikkara to lead the campaign from the end of this week. Former CPI(M) State Secretary Pinarayi Vijayan is also staying in the constituency to instill confidence among the workers of CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF).
