Kannur | A school teacher (drawing) of Pallur Kasthurbha Gandhi Government High School near Mahe got a chance to undertake a 13-day tour to visit Paris, Rome, Florence and Venice.
The tour is organised by Camlin Company in a bid not only to augment the artistes of the nation their knowledge but also shape their career.
Mr K K Sanilkumar of Ponnyam near Thalassery in the district has been selected by Kokuyu Camlin Limited’s art foundation based in Mumbai , along with seven others in the country.
He was one of the winners of the Camel Art foundation’s Euro Art Tour- 2014 and he is the first Keralite artiste to get a chance to visit Europe since last 17 years through Camilin Art Foundation. His art mazhakalam (water painting) bagged the national award out of 90 regional winners.
The trip will commence on July 13,2015 from Mumbai and all the expenses will meet by Camlin Company. Mr Sanilkumar secured Post Graduate in painting from Jain University, Bengaluru and his works were displayed in many places in Kerala, Puducherry and various other places of India.
Eight artistes–Raj Kumar Mazinder, Manoj Balyan, Pratibha Tigdi, Protyusha Mitra, Rahul Solanki, Vipin Singh Rajput, VIjay Dhore and Sanil Kumar–got a chance of understanding and viewing world famous art in the prominent cities and got a glimpse of world famous European galleries, museums and Roman art.
