Amritanandamayi Math to set up Super Specialty Hospital in Haryana

Chandigarh | A 2000-bed super specialty hospital, medical college and a nursing college would be set up in Sector-88, Faridabad by Mata Amritanandmayi Math-Kollam, Kerala.
While Stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana town and country planning department said that an application was received from Mata Amritanandmayi Math, requesting for grant of permission for change of land use to set up a super specialty hospital with facility of 2,000 beds alongwith medical college  having an intensive care unit, research center and nursing college over an area of 76.345 acres.
While recognising the services rendered by Mata Amritanandmayi Math in health, education and other social fields, the Government   decided  to grant CLU permission in this regard and issued letter of intent on June 12, 2015 for setting up of said facility at village Palwali and Badshahpur, Sector-88, Faridabad.
He said that the proposed super specialty hospital and medical college in private sector will strengthen the existing para medical facilities and will serve not only urban population of Faridabad-Ballabhgarh Urban Complex rather it will serve the rural population of hinter land of Faridabad and Palwal districts and adjoining area of Haryana as well as Utter Pradesh.
Setting up of such reputed Institute will further accelerate the planned urban development of Faridabad. Besides, this project will generate substantial employment opportunities in this area on one hand and on the other promote biochemical and medical instruments industries.
The Mata Amritanandmayi Math (MAM) is an international charitable organisation aimed at spiritual and material upliftment of humankind.
It was founded by international renowned spiritual leader and humanitarian Sri Mata Amritanandmayi Devi, with its headquarters in Amritapuri, Kollam, Kerala.
The MAM runs hospitals, orphanages, old age homes, hospitals, housing for the poor. It also runs five-campus university known as Amrit Vishwa Vidyapeetham, which offers degrees in disciplines ranging from arts and sciences to core engineering, medicine and management etc.
It is now emerging as a Center of Excellence for research in areas such as nano-technology, bio-technology, haptics, security systems, wireless sensors.
