Kannur | BJP District President K Ranjith today alleged some police officials were trying to sabotage the East Chettakandy Bombs Explosion Case in which two CPI(M) activists were killed and many injured on June 6.
The BJP demanded police should conduct raids at CPI(M) controlled hospitals to arrest the injured people who were undergoing medical treatment in the bomb explosion without the knowledge of public.
BJP leader alleged police had failed to arrest any accused in this case nor bring to light the conspiracy behind this explosion. He alleged CPI(M) supporting police officials are controlling the probe in the case.
Mr Ranjith said many CPI(M) activists were injured in this bomb explosion and they had been undergoing medical treatment at CPI(M) controlled hospitals in the district. So police should immediately conduct raids at hospitals in the district to arrest the injured CPI(M) activists.
He also alleged that police were afraid to organize raids at CPI(M) stronghold areas in the district to seize bombs and other weapons and the raids being conducted in these areas were a farce to appease the people.
BJP demanded that police should take stringent action to bring to light the conspiracy of making bombs at East Chettakandy and recover the weapons from CPI(M) godowns through raids, a BJP release said here today.
Meanwhile, police took testimony from one injured Nitheesh, who was undergoing treatment in a private hospital at Kozhikode. Another seriously injured Ratheesh’s testimony was not collected so far because he was in critical condition in the same hospital.
