Thiruvananthapuram | Kerala Cabinet today decided to extend the tenure of the Agriculture Debt Relief Commission for three more years.
Briefing on Cabinet decisions, Chief Minister Oommen Chandy said the government order dated April 25, 2015 extending the tenure of Kerala State Agriculture Debt Relief Commission has been ratified.
As the work of the commission has not yet finished, the tenure of the commission was extended for three more years from May 31, 2015.
Such a decision was taken to dispose the 48,166 applications pending for receiving the debt relief. More applications are being received from different districts, including Wayanad, he added.
