Kozhikode | Kozhikode-headquartered Markazu Ssaquafathi Ssunniyya (Markaz), a cultural and educational outfit in Kerala, today announced Rs six million charitable services during the holy month of Ramzan across the country.
This included Ifthar feast for five lakh people, food and clothing distribution, religious discourses, friendly meet and study classes for women, Markaz H R Amir Hasan and Assistant General Manager Unaiz Mohammed told reporters here today.
Special kits worth Rs 25 lakh for the needy in Bihar, Asom, West Bengal, Delhi and Haryana, 30-days Ifthar for 450 Rohingya families housed in refugee camps in Delhi and Haryana are some of the other attractions of the services.
In Kerala, the outfit will conduct Ifthars and meets in based in masjids, Ifthar feast for migrant workers for 30 days in Karanthur Markaz, they said.
Arrangemens were in full swing for conduct of charitable campaigns in all the states, they said adding special volunteeers trained with support from Relief and Charitable Foundation of India will undertake the work.
All India Sunni Jam-Iyyathul Ulema Secretary General Kanathapuram A P Aboobacker Musaliar will inaugurate the religious meet at Markaz on ‘Ramzan 27.’ they added.
