Thiruvananthapuram | Kerala will constitute a subcommittee to look into various issues related to rubber farmers.
The committee’s aim is to see that the financial assistance provided by the Government reaches the farmers effectively, an official press release said today.
The committee will discuss a project that is to give shape for providing immediate relief to rubber farmers who are under distress due to the fall in the price of rubber.
The Government aims to provide Rs 150 to farmers for a kg of rubber. It is proposed that the difference in the price from the base price of Rs 150 will be credited to the account of the farmer.
