Darbhanga | A complaint petition has been filed against senior BJP Leader Ashwani Choubey for making objectionable and derogatory remarks against Congress president Sonia Gandhi.
Former divisional Congress president Ram Narayan Jha filed the petition in court of Chief Judicial Magistrate Gyanendra Srivastava, against the BJP MP for equating Ms Gandhi with Putana, a mythological she-demon and describing Congress vice-president Rahul Gandhi as a videshi tota(foreign parrot), at a party’s workers’ meeting at Rajauli in Nawada district yesterday.
The case would come up for hearing on June 30, before the court of first judical magistrate Rakesh Kumar as it has been transferred for speedy hearing, said Pawan Kumar Choudhary, counsel for the petitioner.
Jha in his petition has contended that  Choubey with his utterances against Ms Gandhi and Mr Gandhi had hurt the sentiments of Congressmen.
