Thiruvananthapuram | Union Railway Minister Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu will formally flag off a special passenger train at Ernakulam Junction, tomorrow.
Inaugural special train leave Ernakulam Junction at 1040 hrs to reach Aluwa at 1125 hrs. In the return direction the special train will leave Aluva at 1145 hrs to reach Ernakulam Junction at 1230 hrs, a railway official statement said today.
Southern Railway General Manager Ashok K Agarwal, other senior railway officials, MLAs, MPs and leaders of various political parties would attend the function.
Regular service of the new train will have eight schedules daily in the region, six days a week except on Sunday.
Subsequent to introduction of special train services at Ernakulam region, there will be changes in the schedule of Ernakulam-Palakkad MEMU.
According to the revised schedule, the train will now have an early start by 20 minutes at 1450 hrs to reach Palakkad junction at 1925 hrs.
