Kozhikode | The Indian Medical Association will launch free clinics in Kohzikode to contain spread of fevers, including Dengue, in and around Kozhikode district of Kerala, from tomorrow.
Talking to reporters here IMA Kozhikode Branch President Dr Ajit Bhaskar said the decision was taken following discussion with the District Collector, District Medical Officer and panchayat presidents.
An average 2,000 to 3,000 fever cases a day were reported from private hospitals, he said.
This included many dengue fever cases caused by Eddies Egypt mosquito bite from private hospitals under Kozhikode Corporation during May and June. Many patients with Hepatitis A were also reported, he added.
