New Delhi | As the Lalit Modi controversy took a new twist today with former IPL boss tweeting that he had a chance meeting with Congress President Sonia Gandhi’s daughter Priyanka and her son-in-law Robert Vadra, putting the Congress on back foot, flamboyant academician and writer Madhu Kishwar had broken the news on a micro-blogging site two days ago that Sonia-Rahul-Priyanka are rushing to London to meet Lalit Modi for a patch up with him.
Citing reliable sources, Ms Kishwar had claimed that the Gandhi family was meeting the controversial former IPL Commissioner to buy peace with him as he can expose their dealings.
Reliable source: Sonia, Rahul, Priyanka gone to London to meet @LalitKModi in order to buy peace with him so he doesn’t expose their dealings, Ms Kishwar had tweeted on June 24, much before Lalit Modi revealed that he had a chance meeting with Congress President’s daughter Priyanka and her husband Robert Vadra in a London restaurant.
After Modi’s fresh tweets about his meeting with the Gandhi family, Ms Kishwar today tweeted that she was proven right. Now that I’m proven right abt Sonia-Rahul-Priyanka rushing to London to placate @LalitKModi– wd be fun 2watch if media dare go after them! she tweeted.
Incidentally, Ms Kishwar has been keenly following and tweeting on the development ever since the controversy came out in open that External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj had helped Lalit Modi to secure his travel documents from the UK authorities with Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje helping him in the past.
Ms Kishwar, on more than one occasion sided with Ms Raje and Lalit Modi, which is evident in her tweets.
Not single FIR against Lalit Modi, no court case on, leave alone conviction. Yet he’s being declared absconder. Helping him called treason! said Ms Kishwar in one of her tweets.
In another tweet, she said, Vasundhara did no great wrong in helping LaMo when Jaitley & Congress team in IPL governing council hounding him after fall out with Tharoor.
Modi govt should make Lalit Modi an approver and invite him back to India to help uncover all political scamsters behind IPL& BCCI the writer suggested in one of the tweets.
