They had occurred at many places in Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Jharkhand, east Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh and coastal Andhra Pradesh.
They had also occurred at a few places in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar and west Madhya Pradesh. They had even occurred at isolated places in west Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Vidarbha, Gujarat Region, Saurashtra, Kutch, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, interior Karnataka and Lakshadweep.
