Kannur | Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President V M Sudheeran today siad that the opposition CPI(M) party had turned into a Criminal Party of Marxists.
He said this while inaugurating the people’s gathering organized by District Congress Committee (DCC) at Panoor to protest against the attack on Mr Jagadeep, Congress Party Booth President of Mokeri last week by alleged CPI(M) activists.
Mr Sudheeran said Mr Jagadeep was also a trade union worker of Mokeri near Panoor. CPI(M) also claimed to be a workers party. Hence, CPI(M) Kannur district leadership should have the responsibility to answer whose interests it was protecting.
He also alleged that CPI(M) Kannur leadership had became the camp of criminal persons and the CPI(M) would taste the defeat of Bengal in Kerala also due to unleashing of violence in the State, especially in Kannur District.
The CPI(M) had not learnt anything from the results of the Aruvikkara Assembly By-election. Mr Sudheeran also handed over a cheque of Rs five lakh to DCC President K Surendran to meet the medical expenses of Mr Jagadeep.
MLA A P Abdullakutty, Senior Congress Leaders K Sudhakaran, P Ramakrishnan, Satheeshan Pacheni also attended the function.
