CPM denies media reports claiming Jayarajan as accused

Kannur | CPI(M) State committee member and CPI(M) Acting District Secretary M V Jayarajan today said  the reports in some media today that information regarding CPI(M) leader P Jayarajan as an accused in Kathirur Manoj Murder Case  in CBI filed charge sheet is considered to be a politically motivated.
Mr M V Jayarajan said CBI had given a report on last day before the court that P Jayrajan is not named in the accused list yet but some visual media reported P Jayarajan name is annotated in charge sheet.
Mr M V Jayarajan alleged that CBI has prepered a fake charge sheet to entrap the CPI(M) leaders in Kathirur case. He also said that this case is become a rare case of adding the names in installments basis as per the list  given by BJP/RSS.
Mr Jayarajan said the party will face the move of CBI to file fake cases against P Jayarajan  politically and legally,a CPI(M) release said.
Today, some visual media reported that CBI filed charge sheet stating P Jayarajan’s name was included in the accused list for indulging in conspiracy in this case.
Meanwhile, CBI has not been named Jayarajan as an accused in this case yet but P Jayarajan filed an anticipatory bail plea before the court and it would consider on July 22.
Jayarajan had undergone angioplasty on July 10 at CPI(M) controlled Pariyaram Medical College hospital.

Congress, BJP trying to jail CPI(M) leaders: Kodiyeri
Thiruvananthapuram | The  Congress and the BJP are trying to keep CPI(M) leaders behind bars before the upcoming local body elections in Kerala, CPI(M) State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan alleged here today.
Addressing a press conference, Kodiyeri, who is also Deputy Opposition leader in Kerala Assembly, said there were deliberate attempts from the Centre and the State Governments to implicate CPI(M) leaders in false cases registered against them.
The Centre is using the CBI and the State is using the Kerala Police against the district-level leaders of CPI(M) for electoral gain in local body elections, he alleged.
Earlier, CBI questioned CPI(M) leader P Jayarajan on his alleged role in the murder of RSS activist Kathrur Manoj last year.
Recently, fearing arrest by the CBI, Jayarajan sought an anticipatory bail from the court in connection with the murder case.
