Kochi | Honda Cars India Ltd (HCIL), a leading manufacturer of premium cars in the country will invest Rs 380 crore in the financial year to enhance its production at its factory in Rajasthan, a top official said today.
Launching the all-new generation Honda Jazz in Kerala, Honda Cars India Ltd Marketing and Sales Director and Senior Vice President Hiroyuki Shimizu said, a total of Rs 7238 core as on date and the investment of Rs 380 at the Rajastan Plant with an object of enhancing the production to 30000 by 2016 from the current 24000 units.
Pointing out that last year the company had sold 1.90 lakh units in the last financial year, registering an increase of 41 per cent, he said the company was expecting to sell about 2.40 units, its full production capacity, in the coming financial year.
Mr Shimizu also expressed confidence that the new product from the Honda family would have good response as it was designed to cater the need of all groups of people.
In the petrol version, the price would be between Rs 5.44,500 to and Rs 8.25 lakh, while that in diesel version the price would be between Rs 6.62 lakh and Rs .8.75,100 , he said, and added, that the new jazz was 95 per cent Indian product, as only five per cent of parts were imported.
