Thiruvananthapuram | Price of hotel food in Kerala saw 65 per cent hike in 2015 compared to 2011, the year Congress-led UDF came to power, State Civil Supplies Minister Anoop Jacob told the State Assembly today.
After the four-years of UDF coming to power in the State, the price of milk and vegetables rose to 50 per cent, he replied to a question in this regard.
An average of 20 per cent price rise was witnessed during the last four years, he said. The price rise of onion and coconut oil rose 89% and 50% respectively. The price hike of rice was due to the shortage of supply from Andhra Pradesh, he added.
