Thiruvananthapuram | AIDS awareness will be made mandatory in all the schools in Kerala.Chief Minister Oommen Chandy, who convened a meeting in this regard said, education department has been instructed to implement the awareness programme for the classes, from eight to 12.
Kerala has created a model in the control of AIDS. With the activities of health department, there was a 57 per cent drop in the number of AIDS patients in the past decade. In the past year the spread of disease from mother to child was reduced to just two numbers.
