Kochi | Kerala Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and Cultural Minister K C Jospeh are accused of criticising the judicial process by a High court Judge. The duo had affronted the Kerala High Court Judge the other day.
Talking to newspersons here, Justice Alexander Thomas said, while doing so, the duo were scuttling the judicial set-up and propagating a wrong message in this regard.
Their criticism against a judge in public proved beyond doubt the hidden agenda of the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) that there should not be any any verdict against them, he said, adding, the need of the hour is the ouster of Mr Joseph from the cabinet.
He also charged the Congress on its tendency to welcome any verdict, as long as it favours them. But the moment, a judgment goes against their party, they make it a point of opposing it tooth and nail publicity, he said, adding, the Congress cannot have the best of both the summer and winter under one-roof.
It may be recalled that Mr Chandy had indirectly criticised the Kerala High Court Judge for lambasting the Advocate General office.
The judge further averred that any person worth the salt holding a coveted portfolio should not forget his/her traditional responsibilities, bearing in mind, their accountability and duty to fulfill them as the aspirations of the people and for the betterment of the society.
