Thiruvananthapuram | Three temporary employees of the Censor Board were today arrested in connection with the leak of the censor copy of the blockbuster Malayalam film ‘Premam’ directed by Alphonse Puthren.
Anti-Piracy Cell Superintendent of Police Prateesh Kumar told newspersons here that the three arrested persons had confessed of their involvement in the crime. ”However, we are not able to find any censor board officials involved in the case.”
Police arrested Arunkumar, Nidhin and Kumaran this morning after closely monitoring their activities for the past few days.
Mr Kumar said these temporary employees copied the DVD of the film in their laptop and handed over to others. ”We have complete evidence against them and more arrests are likely in the coming days.”
A case was filed after the film was uploaded on the internet.
