Technopark to celebrate silver jubilee

Thiruvananthapuram | A festive mood will descend on Technopark here with a series of events  being lined up from August 3  as part of its silver jubilee celebrations.
The celebrations will begin on Monday evening with prize distribution for the short film contest titled ?Lights Camera Action? conducted by Prathidhwani, a socio-cultural forum of Technopark employees. There will also be a screening of the short films followed by a Ghazal evening with renowned singer Padmakumar.
An inter-company dance competition named TARANG will be held in association with Natana, the cultural club of Technopark, at 1800 hrs at Technopark Amphitheatre on August four. Prizes for different contests organised as part of the celebrations will also be distributed on the occasion.
Chief Minister Oommen Chandy will inaugurate the valedictory function of the silver jubilee celebrations on August five evening at Amphitheatre near Park Centre, which will be attended by several ministers and dignitaries including IT Minister PK Kunhalikutty. In the event, Chief Minister will honour Technopark?s formative team.
The valedictory function will be followed by a live performance by music band Thaikkudam Bridge.
To mark the silver jubilee celebrations, Technopark will lay the foundation stone for the largest building in its Phase- I campus and also inaugurate a new Rs 2.5 crore solid waste management plant and a new security control room.
