Left cadre resort to violence to intimidate BJP workers, claims Shah

Tuesday, Aug 4, 2015,21:10 IST By metrovaartha A A A

New Delhi | BJP President Amit Shah today accused Left cadres of using violence against his party workers to curb the spread of their ideology, especially in states like Kerala. Wherever BJP workers or those of our ideological family tried to progress, there the CPI-M workers have committed violence and made murderous attacks.
Not just in Kerala, but wherever the Communist party, CPI -M has ruled, it has been their practice to stop the spread of thought in this manner through violence, Shah told reporters on the sidelines of the inauguration of an exhibition, ‘An Untold Story of Intolerance: Communist violence in Kerala’. The people of Kerala should think as to how long they can trust those who commit violence as violence and democracy cannot go together, he added.
The BJP president said that the purpose behind bringing the exhibition to Delhi was to illustrate how ideological battles in Kerala have been converted into a series of barbaric murders. Hitting out at Congress along with the Left, Shah said that in Kerala, those who are in power and those who keep coming to power, because of them, patriotic people have to die.
It is very important for people to know about the inhuman treatment met out to dedicated workers, patriots who are working to spread their ideology in Kerala, he said. Lauding the organisers of the exhibition, Shah said it would expose those who resort to violence to acquire power. Several senior BJP leaders, too, were present at the event.

BJP unleasing RSS terror in Kerala: CPI(M)

New Delhi | CPI (M) today accused BJP of unleashing RSS terror in Kerala out of frustration that it failed to win even a single Lok Sabha seat in the state.
Countering charges of BJP president Amit Shah that CPI (M) used violence against his party workers to curb the spread of their ideology, the Left party claimed the situation was the other way around and that 197 Communist workers were killed by Hindutva outfits between 1968 and 2005 in the state.
CPI (M) charged RSS-BJP with being purveyors of hate and violence but acting as victims. #BJP has zero parliament seat in #Kerala. It is frustrated & unleashes #RSSTerror on people. But it can’t weaken Kerala’s secular fabric. Ironic purveyors of hate and violence are acting victims. 197 #CPIM comrades martyred by #BJP & #RSS b/w 1968-2005. #RSSTerror.
Question to Amit Shah: why did #RSS and #BJP kill #CPIM workers? CPI (M) asked in a series of tweets. The Left party also shared a district wise list of number of its workers allegedly murdered by RSS-BJP in Kerala. CPI (M) added its functionaries were killed as they had heroically resisted the spread of divisive thought RSS and BJP represent declaring the fascists shall not pass.
Speaking to reporters on the sidelines of the exhibition ‘An Untold Story of Intolerance: Communist violence in Kerala’ earlier in the day, Shah accused CPI (M) of using violence against BJP workers to curb spread of their ideology, especially in states like Kerala.
