Gujarat BJP MLA dies of Dengue

Ahmedabad | The ailing BJP  MLA from Choryasi assembly segment of Surat district in Gujarat, Rajendrabhai Patel alias Raja Patel passed away in a private hospital in Mumbai today. He was 60 years old.
Family sources said he was kept on life support system and was  declared dead by the doctors of Hinduja hospital where he was under treatment  for dengue and some other ailments including Kidney disorder.
Family sources said Rajabhai was detected with dengue  a few days ago and was under treatment. He was admitted to Mahavir General  hospital in Athwalines of Surat city on August 3 but was showing no signs of  improvement. His condition suddenly deteriorated following which an air  ambulance was arranged and he was airlifted to Mumbai.
He was  suffering from fever for over a week and had even gone to Dubai in between, He  had to come back owing to his condition. Meanwhile, Gujarat  Governor O P Kohli, Chief Minister Anandiben Patel and BJP state president R  C Faldu have expressed grief over the sad demise of the leader. His body was being brought back to Surat where his last rites will take  place.
