How much safe is she?

It is to be a serious thinking.
Few stale phrases, we hear everyday. “In the present world what much safe are women. Have to have change in the attitude towards the ladies. Ladies should be very alert by themselves. ”
But no change, that is the bitter factor. That will remain as, as it is…this is what the day today life is showing…The condition of women in India has always been a matter of grave concern.
Since the past several centuries, the women of India were never given equal status and opportunities as compared to that of their male counterparts. When we turn the pages of a newspaper, we come across many headlines reporting cases of sexual assault, molestation, sexual harassment, rapes, trafficking, ill treatment of women in houses, violence against women in remote areas etc.
Soumya and Jyoti singh are only the few examples to recognize the stand of the ladies in the present society. With the frozen mind we read those news. Then compelled to forget and to engage in our own life. Many unknown rapes and crimes are occuring in everyday. But unfortunately those are not reported.
One question will naturally arise in readers’s mind. Even if those have reported, what can we do ? We just discuss on it for a few days. Then we will try to ignore. We are too helpless to handle these incidents. It is always stated that self help is the best help whatever precautions you or your loved ones take to protect you.
There may be situations that compell one to go alone outside in emergencies. We generally use to play the blame game for any such incidence and hence have not succeeded to reach to the root of the problem. Don’t let to give up the trust of the people on the supreme law.
Strong and stringent laws are definitely necessary as the existing laws have proved to be inefficient in ensuring swift justice and appropriate punishment to the guilty. But the actual need of the hour is a revolutionary change in the mindsets and conscience of Indian men so that they stop seeing women as objects for sexual pleasure.
We need to take action not by force but by will to make our country more secure and safe for our better halves and bring up reforms in the desired direction so that women can also enjoy their freedom and rights, and feel more empowered and fearless , as entrusted by the Supreme law of the land.
There must be an equality of rights between men and women. Women are now a days as equally educated as men. She has proved in many ways that she is fit for allmost all jobs, which were in the initial stages the male dominating ones. Every woman prefers to walk, talk without any fear. She wishes to have that much as freedom what the men are enjoying.
But from the ancient days onwards lots of customs and traditions have put a dead line for her. She can’t cross that. Only one thing she is desiring, demanding and of course deserving that within that dead lines she wants to fly. No scissors should come to cut those. But the present world not permitting even that freedom. The men will encroach to the said dead line.
Woman is mother. Let her enjoy the freedom within her limits. Then only she can smile and succeed. Every woman’s heart has different instructions. They are written through her eyes, in her smile, through her actions and in her tears. She just has to find someone who cares enough to read them.
